John Wing Bio

A stand-up comedian for over three decades, John Wing sails into 2014 with The Great Plains Comedy Festival, The Hubcap Comedy Festival, and his 13th consecutive Winnipeg Comedy Festival on the schedule. He is a regular performer on CBC radio’s ‘The Debaters’ and ‘Definitely Not The Opera’. John performs all over the world for Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival Cruise lines.

In 2013 John performed on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, going all the way to the semi-finals. His shows included performances at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles, The Planet Hollywood Theater in Las Vegas, and two shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

A much sought after corporate performer as well, John has done shows for Tim Horton’s, The Animal Rescue Foundation, Canada Steel, Investors Group, The Ottawa Arts Council, and many more. John has over 300 Television appearances to his credit, including America’s Got Talent, six Tonight Shows, and nine Just For Laughs Comedy Galas. He is one of the few comedians who has done the Just For Laughs National Comedy Tour twice.
