Marty Hanenberg left the bright lights of Canada's capital, Ottawa, for Canada's improv capital, Calgary, over twenty years ago.
There he joined The world-famous Loose Moose Theatre Company, where he honed his comedic skills, participating in and winning Theatresports competitions across Canada.
He was a co-founder and member of the sketch troupe Comic Relief, whose blend of scripted and improvised material gave them rave reviews from coast to coast.
He has shared the improv stage with members of The Kids In The Hall and Whose Line Is It Anyway? and has been involved in several stage productions.
The environment, the Olympics, the joys of parenthood, marriage and road rage are just a few of the many topics Marty touches on.
He has performed in comedy clubs across Canada, in the USA and as far north as Yellowknife.
He has shared the stage with such noted stars as Brent Butt, Mike MacDonald, Mark Price (Skippy of Family Ties), and Lorne Elliott amongst others.
Marty has performed benefits for several groups, including The Canadian Cancer Society, The Canadian Diabetes Society, The Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation and many community and sporting fundraisers and awards nights.
His list of corporate clients includes the RCMP, Westjet, Canadian Tire, The Government of Canada, The Royal Bank, ATCO, The City of Edmonton, Husky Oil and many others.
As an actor, Marty has worked on and continues to work on many television and film productions. He has been showcased on The Comedy Network, Comedy At Club 54 and has appeared in such shows as Honey I Shrunk The Kids The TV Show and the movie Rat Race, as well as many commercials.
Marty Hanenberg has 20 years of performing experience under his belt, making him a much-sought after performer, whose versatility, professionalism and tasteful humor are perfectly suited for the many corporate, convention and community events he headlines. Marty Hanenberg's unique view of everyday life has made him a favorite comedian at events across the country.
