Carla Collins is a special performer - and not in a retarded way.

She is a gifted and beloved entertainer. She is also skinny, over-the-top, of French Canadian descent and she's been screwed by her manager for years. Think of her as Celine Dion without the money and the eight-octave range.

Of humble beginnings, Carla doesn't come from money. She comes because of it!

As an adult who gets laid regularly, Carla Collins is an award-winning comedian, television host and actor. A gifted stand-up hailed as the "Queen of Comedy" by no less of an authority than Flare Magazine , Carla is a regular at clubs such as The Improv and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles as well as a frequent headliner at Yuk Yuks in Toronto. She has performed at Just for Laughs, the Vancouver Comedy Festival, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. Currently, she is writing her one-woman show, “The Visionary Position”.

In addition to guest appearances on “The Designer Guys” and “The 25 Icons of Style”, Carla hosted CTV's national entertainment show “E Now” and the daytime talk show “Eye On Toronto”.

A talented actress, Carla has also appeared on numerous series including Pax TV's “Doc”, Noggin's “Degrassi: The Next Generation”, Oxygen/Showcase's “Show Me Yours”, YTV's “The Zack Files” as well as “Tracker”, “Starhunter 2300” and “Screech Owls”. She has also appeared in the feature film “Caveman's Valentine” and several movies of the week including “Secret Santa”.

The Pop Culture editor for Inside Entertainment magazine, Carla has also written for a variety of publications including Flare, Canadian Living, the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Sun and Elle magazine. She also wrote a rejected Penthouse Letter using the pseudonym Juan Tibonia.

Carla likes to give back to the community, and has been recognized for her work supporting charities such as the Hospital for Sick Children, the Humane Society, the Think Pink campaign for Breast Cancer awareness, the Children's Aid Society, the United Way, and CAMFAR.

Carla Collins is not a lesbian (although she is quite malleable when drunk) but even sober, she loves women and is on a mission to promote sisterhood. Confused as to why women hate each other, Carla believes that all women are basically the same person and should be united in celebration of their feminine power. Except for supermodels. She doesn't care for them. In fact she's frightened of them as she was bitten by one as a small child.
